'Mother’s Milk' by Edward St Aubyn
Written with a shining scalpel dipped in lemon juice, this
satire and exploration of the possibilities and pitfalls of family life is
mostly very enjoyable and quite often thought-inducing, especially in the early
part told from the point of view of the unsettlingly perceptive five-year-old
Robert.
